Hollidaysburg woman found dead inside submerged car at VA lake

Authorities in Pulaski County, Virginia have identified the body of a woman who was found submerged inside a car at a popular lake earlier this month.

Last week, officials identified the woman as 79-year-old Jean Lester, of Hollidaysburg, Pa, according to reports from our Sinclair affiliate WSET.

According to local reports, a fisherman reportedly contacted authorities on Saturday, Sept. 16, after discovering the car submerged at Claytor Lake State Park.

Officials say divers entered the lake and reportedly found the Jeep Grand Cherokee submerged approximately 12 feet underwater.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, however, there is "no evidence to suspect foul play."
